Today I'm going to share traditional Bengali Non-veg Thali menu with recipes. This thali can be served on any Bengali event like, Poila Boishakh, Jamai Shasthi, Birthday etc. In this thali you can have from dal to sweets. In my thali there are,
- Steamed rice,
- Misti polao,
- 5 types fried vegetables,
- Dal(it can be any dal, I've made mung dal),
- Niramish enchorer dalna,
- Rohu fish kalia,
- Khasir mangsho,
- Aamer chatni,
- Rosogollar payesh,
- Aam ras and mukhwas.
It should misti paan at the end, but misti paan was not at home, so replaced it with Mukhwas. In traditional full course thali, there must be a bitter dish like shukto/korola bhaja/neem begun. But no bitter item was at home, so had to skip it. Then it comes to dal, it can be any dal. Then 1 or 2 vegetable dishes, 2 to 3 types of non veg items, including prawns, chatni and sweets. In sweets, misti doi is a most preferable
